Professor Rajendra obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the National University of Ireland in 1988 and spent six years in the UK NHS. He is currently Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology) at UNSW and Head of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Bankstown Hospital, specialising in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, large polyp removal, inflammatory bowel disease, and complex bile/pancreatic duct procedures.

Dr Ryan Abraham provides expert, compassionate care for digestive and liver disorders. His services include gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and oesophageal/gastric motility studies. As an FRACP specialist, he remains active in research and evidence-based innovation.

Dr George is a Specialist Surgeon dedicated to personalised, comprehensive surgical care. A university medallist and PhD-trained academic, he remains active in research and mentoring junior doctors. He has extensive expertise in acute abdominal pain, hernia and gallbladder surgery, haemorrhoid repair, and is GESA-accredited in diagnostic endoscopy/colonoscopy.

Dr Shihaz Hussain is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist licensed in Australia, The UK, and India, with over eight years of experience across leading tertiary hospitals internationally. He brings expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, alongside advanced skills in therapeutic and interventional endoscopy. Known for delivering high-quality care in complex clinical settings, he is committed to continual professional development and excellence in endoscopic practice. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams and is recognised for his clear communication, empathy, and patient-centred approach. He is fluent in English, Russian, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Urdu.

Dr Sam Al-Sohaily is a highly qualified specialist in gastroenterology and hepatology with extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing disorders of the digestive system and liver. He holds a medical degree (MBChB), is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), and completed a PhD focusing on advanced research in his field. Dr Al-Sohaily’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal cancer screening, liver disease, and a comprehensive range of endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Mudar Zand Irani MBBS, MPH, FRACP is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with expertise in gastrointestinal motility/functional disorders, IBD, hepatology and advanced endoscopy. He also focuses on gastrointestinal cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, and eosinophilic/allergic gut disorders. An academically focused physician, Mudar has several publications with globally renowned research groups including the Mayo Clinic and Karolinska Institutet (Noble assembly institute). Mudar is one of few Australian PhD candidates in Gastro- oesophageal reflux disease and other related functional gut disorders under the supervision of Laureate Professor Talley. He has authored papers in prestigious journals such as the Lancet, Human Pathology, and Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He holds a Master in Public Health (Distinction) from the University of Newcastle and is an affiliate researcher with the NHMRC. He is a conjoint lecturer at the University of Newcastle.
